This is a half day workshop to guide you in effective ways to job search and network to find that ideal job in your career search. This workshop will help you understand the current world of work, employer hiring practices, effective use of job search tools, creating effective resumes, developing pro-active job search methods, and instruction on how to be great in interviews. This workshop is ideal for those who have had work experience and need support to get to their next job.
During two half-day hands-on workshop sessions you will be introduced to various assessments to examine your interests, skills, values, and work style. You will also learn about tools and techniques to help you to gain knowledge of occupations and education and training options. You will also discover how to set goals, make decisions, and get started on the road to a new career.
 ESL for Employment is a workshop for individuals who speak English as a second language. It is particularly geared towards individuals looking to upgrade English skills for employment-related purposes. Classes are open to all ages and all skill levels. A certificate of attendance is awarded after the course is completed.
This is a two hour presentation that prepares individuals for attending job interviews. Participants will learn effective interview skills and receive tips on how to succeed. Participants will also have a chance to review samples of “good” and “bad” interviews as well as take part in group mock interviews.
In-class training for individuals interested in working in environments that serve alcohol. This certification is required in order to work in these environments.
