Speech and Language Pathologist - Term Contract

EMPLOYER: Ottawa Catholic School Board


Under the direction of the Chief Psychologist, the Speech-Language Pathologist will:

  • Evaluate and identify speech and language delays and disorders within the school population
  • Develop and consult on speech and language programs
  • Offer capacity building opportunities for education staff
  • Liaise and consults with outside agencies, parents/guardians, teachers, and specialists
  • Participate on Board and Department committees
  • Perform other duties, as assigned by the supervisor


The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current registration with the College of Audiologist and Speech-Language Pathologists (CASLPO)
  • Two years of related experience
  • Experience with administering standardized tests
  • Proficiency with word processing and software packages for language development, augmentative and alternative communication, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organizational  and time management skills
  • Initiative and the ability to work independently
  • A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
