About the Job

Communications Security Establishment (CSE) is Canada's national cryptologic agency. Unique within Canada's security and intelligence community, we employ code-makers, codebreakers, and secure system creators to provide the Government of Canada with foreign signals intelligence (SIGINT), as well as cyber security services (Canadian Centre for Cyber Security). CSE is the national hub for cyber operations to defend Canada and advance national interests. We provide technical and operational assistance to federal law enforcement and security agencies.

CSE is currently looking for cyber engagement analysts at various levels (intermediate and senior) who will thrive working in a fast-paced, dynamic and client-focused environment. A Cyber Engagement Analyst operates in many different contexts. In some positions, you will be the ‘face’ of the Canadian Center for Cyber Security as you engage and collaborate directly with Canadian clients and/or key partners to provide exceptional cyber security services. In others, you will provide important program management, analytical, and strategic support to Government of Canada operations. In all positions, your work will have a significant impact on Canada’s security posture and will contribute towards ensuring the safety of Canadians online.

Duties (UNI-07s and UNI-08s)

  • Contributing to and coordinating research, information gathering, analysis, options, identifying related resource requirements, developing recommendations, and communicating positions.
  • Contributing to the analysis and development of materials, such as: briefing notes, summaries, business cases, marketing documentation, presentations, assessments, efficiency measures, procedures, proposals, interpretations.
  • Managing internal and/or external relationships.
  • Performing gap analysis to improve business activities.
  • Providing logistical support for business activities.

Salary Range

UNI-07: $83,055 - $97,710 per year
UNI-08: $88,645 - $104,288 per year

Required Qualifications

Education

You must have either one of the following:

  • A university degree or a college diploma; or
  • An acceptable combination of education, training and experience related to the position.

Experience*

  • Experience in developing and maintaining effective working relationships within a team of professionals and with internal and/or external audiences.
  • Experience in conducting research and providing recommendations.
  • Experience in preparing a variety of documents such as briefing material, correspondence and/or presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Experience independently managing a variety of complex tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Experience providing logistical support for various business activities.
  • Experience gathering and collating advice and guidance from subject matter experts to provide to clients and inform products.

* Consideration for the UNI-08 level will be given to those candidates demonstrating significant experience. Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of the experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of various and complex related activities over a minimum period of three (3) years.
