This is a seasonal position. We are looking for a hardworking individual to fulfill the role of General Labourer. The ideal candidate is physically fit and able to work long hours outside. We are looking for someone as committed to delivering quality workmanship as we are. Team players, hard workers and those willing to show up for scheduled shifts will find success in this position.
More specifically, you will be accountable for:
- Construct retaining walls and fences
- Assist in construction or demolishing of different structures
- Installation of interlocking stone, stamped and decorative concrete
- Load and unload structure materials and move materials in work areas
- Operate tamper, quick cut, sod cutter, and other tools
- Operate skid steers, mowers and other equipment
- Maintain tools and equipment
- Erect and take to pieces concrete forms
- Dig trenches and place pipes or cables for drains and extra services
- Cleanup work sites
- Mix, transfer and extend materials such as concrete
- Help in the excavation for base preparation
- Remove debris and trash at construction sites using wheelbarrows
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager
Other desirable attributes include:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, heavy equipment, and materials
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability push a wheelbarrow
- Ability to use a smart phone, receive emails, maneuver Outlook and/or Gmail
- Having a vehicle is an asset or the ability to get to job sites with plenty of time to spare
- Excellent stamina is required
- Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
- Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold
- Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work
- Must have valid driver's licence and own transportation
