We are hiring for the following positions:

 

PERMANENT POSITIONS:

 

FULL-TIME DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS

40 hours/week: shifts consist of a rotation of days, evenings & alternating weekends (Sat & Sun)

For our Community Residential Homes (Ottawa & Surrounding Area)

 

FULL-TIME OVERNIGHT (NIGHT-AWAKE) DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS

35-40 hours/week: shifts include either 10pm-8am or 11pm-9am overnight shifts. May be scheduled any day (Mon-Sun)

For our Community Residential Homes (Ottawa & Surrounding Area)

 

PART-TIME DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS

16-34 hours/week: shifts consist of a rotation of days, evenings & alternating weekends (Sat & Sun)

For our Community Residential Homes (Ottawa & Surrounding Area)

 

PART-TIME OVERNIGHT (NIGHT-AWAKE) DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS

24-30 hour/week: Shifts are either Thurs-Sat: 10pm-7am or Fri-Sun: 11pm-7am

For our Community Residential Home (Nepean & Orleans)

 

TEMPORARY POSITIONS:

 

FULL-TIME DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS

40 hours/week: shifts include days, evenings, & alternating weekends (Sat & Sun)

(Approx. 6 months to 12 months with possibility of extension)

For our Community Residential Homes (Ottawa & Surrounding Area)

 

PART-TIME DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS

16-34 hours/week: shifts include days, evenings, and alternating weekends (Sat & Sun)

(Approx. 12 months with possibility of extension)

For our Community Residential Homes (Ottawa & Surrounding Area)

 

Direct Support Professional employees build communities that value the contributions of people who experience developmental disabilities. They assist with activities of daily living, working collaboratively with families, advocates, friends, and community partners in order to promote full citizenship and enhance relationships. Recognizing people’s right to self-determination, and valuing their unique gifts while encouraging continuous growth and development is only a part of what makes this a rewarding career.

Requirements:

  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
  • Satisfactory 3-year Uncertified Driver’s Abstract
  • Valid G Driving License and access to reliable transportation
  • Documentation of COVID-19 vaccination

 

Preferred:

  • 3-6 Months Experience (volunteer or employment)
  • Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or post-secondary education in a related field
