JOB DESCRIPTION:


As Revelle’s Boutique Sales Manager, you will effectively lead, develop and support the Bridal Stylist sales team to meet and exceed sales goals and productivity targets, build and generate customer relationships and deliver exceptional customer service. The Sales Manager is a motivational and inspiring team leader who has excellent customer service abilities and knows how to leverage the sales team by empowering them and developing them to provide the most incredible customer service. As a mentor and coach to the Stylist team the Boutique Sales Manager is responsible for supervising, assigning, and coordinating the activities of the sales team in order to assist customers in their wedding dress shopping journey. The Boutique Sales Manager is an individual who builds a positive and welcoming store environment that delivers a flawless customer service and sales experience through the development of the Boutique's guidelines relating to sales practices, designer and product knowledge as well as the creation of beautiful store visual standards, execution of sales promotions and marketing. The Boutique Sales Manager role has a positive impact on the entire Revelle Bridal team, our clients, guests, suppliers and the local wedding industry community as a whole.

 

Duties and responsibilities

BOUTIQUE OPERATIONS

  • Opening and closing the boutique during specified hours of business operation according to internal opening and closing procedures
  • Maintaining cleanliness and order in the boutique, including desk area, office area, storage area, fitting rooms, bathroom and general shop area
  • Ensuring the boutique always looks its best at all times and that visual standards and image of the boutique, including store displays, signage, and product merchandising are in line with the company's branding
  • Performing all COVID-19 measures to ensure that the boutique remains clean and sanitary

SUPERVISORY ROLE

  • Managing, coordinating and assigning the activities of the Bridal Stylist sales team
  • Preparing the weekly work schedules and assigning duties and tasks to the Bridal Stylist Sales team
  • Assisting with the hiring of new staff and developing adequate training guides and manuals for incoming hires
  • Training of new bridal stylist sales staff including on the job training and job shadowing
  • Managing schedule blocks and fitting room blocks
  • Creating and assigning specific tasks
  • Monitoring bridal stylist sales staff and reporting on individual performance

CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Greeting clients upon entry and catering to client requests as required
  • Ensuring clients are served in a timely manner according to scheduled appointments
  • Providing clients with guidance and advice on dress and accessories
  • Creating customer facing email templates and communicating with customers as required
  • Offering virtual appointment consultations when in-person appointments are not permitted
  • Resolving customer service issues including specialized customer requests, complaints, and production or shipping delays

SALES & MARKETING

  • Creating special order and sales agreements for new customers and processing payments as required
  • Authorizing returns or refunds where warranted
  • Managing client orders and vendor purchase orders as required
  • Generating sales leads and striving to attain group sales targets
  • Creating and developing marketing strategies including sales promotions and other offers
  • Up-selling accessories to current bridal customers
  • Marketing and promoting the boutique and associated brands at public events when acting as a representative of the company
  • Following up with potential sales leads
  • Creating best sales practices and optimizing our customer’s overall shopping experience
  • Updating all pricing, stock items, sizes, and item descriptions

CLERICAL & ADMINISTRATIVE

  • Booking appointments for consultations via telephone, email or online booking system
  • Liaising with designers as required for product knowledge enquiries and questions related to sales
  • Answering telephone when possible and/or retrieving voice messages and following up as required
  • Various clerical, filing and administrative duties as required
  • Signing for and accepting deliveries as required

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

  • Ensuring inventory is in order at all times and that all pricing is up to date in Bridal Live software
  • Ensuring that any stock items are replenished as and when needed
  • Managing inventory to ensure physical inventory matches inventory reports
  • Assisting the Boutique Operations Manager with performing a physical inventory on the 1st of every month
  • Preparing monthly inventory reports for accounting purposes
  • Placing orders for required stock as required
  • Managing daily closing reports and ensuring point of sale reports are accurate

REPORTS & ANALYTICS

  • Preparing various reports including sales volumes, transaction journals and miscellaneous accounting reports
  • Analyzing reports and providing feedback and recommendations
  • Gathering customer information reports as required
  • Establishing monthly sales goals with the Boutique Operations Manager
  • Completing daily Closing Reports
  • Creating various analytics and reports as requested by Boutique Operations Manager or Owner
  • Analyzing reports as necessary

PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE

  • Staying up to date and current on all product knowledge related to our gowns, accessories and designers
  • Periodically studying and reviewing all PK material to ensure knowledge of each designer and all collections is satisfactory
  • Participating in training, meetings, and other events related to designer PK
  • Assisting the Owner and Boutique Manager in determining which new designers and/or collections should be added to our inventory
  • Developing sales best practices guides based on current designers
  • Communicating with current designers regarding product knowledge of all products carried at the Boutique
  • Preparing product knowledge material for designer trunk shows, sample sales, and other boutique events

MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIA

  • Creating marketing emails to Revelle and Shop Revelle subscribers on a monthly or as needed basis
  • Creating and preparing bi-weekly blog posts for Revelle website
  • Creating graphic designs for email templates, blogs, or social media posts as required
  • Participating in team photo shoots and/or team videos for social media and marketing purposes
  • Contributing to marketing promotions and shop events

For the role of Boutique Sales Manager, the following qualifications and experience is required :

  • 2 years experience in a management, supervisory or leadership role
  • 2 years experience in retail sales in the bridal fashion or luxury fashion industry
  • Experience in effectively meeting and/or exceeding sales goals and targets individually or as a team
  • Experience in managing a team and the team's sales targets
  • Ability to handle and resolve customer service issues effectively so both parties are satisfied
  • Ability to handle and resolve individual staffing issues in order to foster a positive team environment
  • Ability to think critically to help solve problems
  • Must be a team player and have the ability to empower the sales team and encourage a positive working environment
  • Fosters customer relationships and builds connections to customers to provide positive memorable experiences
  • Must be available evenings and weekends

 

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

 

COVID-19 considerations:
All customers and guests are required to wear a mask inside the boutique. Health screening is required upon entry. Regular cleaning and sanitizing is enforced.
