Key duties & responsibilities:
- Provide quality residential plumbing services to customers
- Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, installations and testing of plumbing systems and plumbing fixtures
- Performs preventative maintenance on plumbing systems
- Modifies piping systems as required
- Completes work orders in a timely manner with accurate documentation of work performed
- Performs all duties in a safe and effective manner
- Provides verbal or written reports as required
- Instruct apprentices
- Completes other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience working as a licensed service plumber or you have a plumber certification or a completion of 5 years of apprenticeship, ready to write your Ontario plumbing license
- Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
- Additional mechanical experience would be an asset
- Knowledge of all applicable codes, standards, guidelines and procedures
- Available for overtime including on call, as required
- Customer-service oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Takes pride in their professional appearance and demonstrates reliable attendance and punctuality
