Early Beginnings Daycare is a high quality licensed childcare center in Ottawa. We are currently looking for a Registered Early Childhood Educator to work in our Junior Kindergarten program. This is a contract position from July 10 to May 31, 2024, with the possibility of an extension. The ideal candidate will be someone who is professional, dedicated/committed to the job, hardworking, has a positive attitude, and will meet the high standards that we have at Early Beginnings.
Job Details:
- Full-time hours (37.5 hours/week), Monday to Friday
- Working in our Junior Kindergarten program (licensed for 16 children)
- Salary: $44,569 annually ($22.86hour) plus WEG as long as it's available.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education from a recognized Ontario College or equivalent.
- Registered member in good standing of the College of Early Childhood Educators OR membership pending if you are a new graduate.
- Knowledge and working experience of “How Does Learning Happen?”
- A current CPR and First Aid Certificate
- A current, valid police records check (vulnerable sector), less than six months old.
- Up to date immunizations as required by the Ministry of Education
- Experience working in a licensed childcare center. This is a must!
- Basic knowledge of French (spoken) is required
- Enthusiastic, energetic, dedicated, strong communication skills, and a good team player.
