JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are currently hiring Garbage Loaders / Waste Collection Helpers (On-Call) to support a government waste services contract in Ottawa. This is a physically active, on-call role ideal for individuals looking for flexible work while supporting essential community services.
Job Duties
Manually load garbage, recycling, and organic waste into collection trucks
Work alongside a driver and crew to complete assigned routes
Lift, carry, and move waste bins and bags safely
Follow all safety procedures and site guidelines
Maintain a clean and professional work environment
Job Requirements
Ability to perform physical labor (lifting, bending, walking for extended periods)
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Available for on-call shifts, including early mornings
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Previous waste collection or general labor experience is an asset, but not required
